Tara McPherson is an artist based out of New York City. Creating art about people and their odd ways, her characters seem to exude an idealized innocence with a glimpse of hard earned wisdom in their eyes. “This piece reminds me to build a life that never prevents me from being with the ones I love. ” Myah Bailey  Born and raised in Connecticut, I received a BFA from Eastern Michigan University in 2003 where I studied fine art photography and telecommunications. Though academically trained in photography, much of my current body of work employs drawing. Since moving to the Northwest, I’ve fully immersed myself into the art scene, including opening the Benjamin Benjamin Art Gallery in Portland, OR. The beauty of the gorge and it’s mercurial weather inspired her current series “Ecotone”, “Tilt Shift”.
