The preview of “Adaptation” rolls forward with this show stopper from the award winning and nationally sought after artist Casey Burns (who as it happens now lives right here in our fair city of Portland) .  If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure to visit Bunk Bar, and see his mural, it is absolutely amazing.
I can’t think of a better artist than Casey Burns to bring the hard boiled crime novels of Raymond Chandler to life.  In this piece, he has immortalized the phone of Phillip Marlowe, protagonist of The Big Sleep and the The Long Goodbye.
Every time I look at this piece, I can hear the blare of the phone ringing and my stomach jumps at the thought of who might be on the line.
