Grim’z Batch 2-Limited Edition” 10 of 10 12”h by 8”w Jimmy Pickering Soft Sculpture Made of Faux Fur, Wool Felt, And Vintage Buttons 2011
*WARNING: Grim’z are handcrafted collectable plush sculpture for adults. They are not intending or recommended for children under the age of twelve.
180° Delirium: Jimmy Pickering “As children we are in a constant state of imagination, Santa, Ghost, Fairy Tales, anything our minds can create, we see. Yet something happens as we grow, these visions are replaced with popularity, self-image, careers; it’s a world of limits. The strange thing is the imaginative state of our childhood is all but forgotten, only a handful of us remain in this world or return to it all together and this state, our original state of being is negativity, viewed as delusional by the ‘normal.’ This world of imagination is often perceived as delusional and those who remain in it are in a state of permanent delirium. 180º: delirium celebrates those viewed as refusing to grow up, those who have Peter Pan dreams. For me what this show contains is my constant state of delirium, the place I find comfort in, the imagined friends in my head.

OPENING TONIGHT!   100 PIECES OF NEW WORK FROM JIMMY PICKERING!

Doors to the gallery will open at 5:00PM!

The work will also become available online at 5:00PM!

The work for the Jimmy Pickering solo show has now arrived.  We are not allowing preview, and the work will not be available for purchase until 5:00PM on October 6th.  A couple of important notes:

-The storefront on Lovejoy will not be open for foot traffic between now and the show opening on first Thursday next week.  HOWEVER, THE GALLERY ONLINE STORE REMAINS ACTIVE!  www.benjaminbenjamin.bigcartel.com

-The work from the Video Game show is on display at Modern Love Cafe, 1720 NW Lovejoy (same building as the art gallery).  But, a lot of it has sold, so hurry in if you want a chance to see the work before it sells out completely.  Of course, what is left is also available on the website (www.benjaminbenjamin.bigcartel.com).

-The Susan Lucci show will be on display at the Starbucks on Boones Ferry in Lake Oswego (17449 Boones Ferry Road, Lake Oswego OR).   And, of course this work is available on the website also (www.benjaminbenjamin.bigcartel.com).
